On behalf of the school community, we welcome you and your child to Calliope State High School. We provide all students with the opportunity to participate in learning within a supportive environment, underpinned by our school values – Attitude, Strength and Purpose.

We work to build strength of character, so that we can be proud of ourselves and our actions. At our school we aim to be calm and reasonable, fostering respectful interactions at all times. Staff have a collective responsibility to know your child and understand how to have the most positive impact possible. Together, we will ensure that all students are giving their maximum personal effort. Quiet movement and conversations create an environment where all can learn.

Calliope State High School is a great school, with committed and dedicated staff who care deeply about each and every child. Our staff work collaboratively to provide high-quality inclusive teaching and support practices that build positive interactions between staff and students. We work to ensure that every child leaves our school with a meaningful pathway for future success; whether that be university, further training or the workforce.​

Our curriculum includes a range of opportunities to ensure our students grow not only academically but also as capable young people who become lifelong learners.

Here at Calliope State High School, we value the role of parents in their children's education and encourage parents and families to be active members within the school community. We look forward to partnering with you for your child's secondary education.
